The iPure Soil and Fecal Genomic DNA Extraction Kit is designed for extracting genomic DNA from various sources, including soil microorganisms such as Gram-positive bacteria, yeast, fungi, algae, nematodes, and even bacterial spores from feces. It can also extract DNA from other environmental samples like sediment, excrement, wastewater, and snow water. With just 0.5g of sample, a sufficient amount of DNA can be obtained. The experimental principle involves treating the sample with a special lysis buffer (C2), followed by purification based on the principle of silicon adsorption of DNA, resulting in DNA suitable for PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, gel electrophoresis, and other downstream experiments.
