Introduction
DNA technology is widely used in the identification of animal and plant species, as it can be used to identify almost all biological materials. DNA technology is the fastest-developing and most accurate technology for species identification. Animal species identification is based on the PCR amplification and sequencing of the conserved sequence COI in animal mtDNA and the conserved sequences rbcL or matK in plant cpDNA. After comparing the sequencing results with the known sequences in the public database, the species of animals can be identified, and the unknown species can be classified into genera or species. Therefore, DNA species identification will greatly promote human ability to monitor, understand and utilize biodiversity, and has broad application prospects in socio-economic fields such as life sciences, forensic science, epidemiology, medicine, and food quality control.
Technical route
Service content
Standard service: Species identification
Upgraded service: Building phylogenetic trees, uploading sequences, etc.
Service description
We currently accept the following forms of samples: genomic DNA, fresh animal and plant tissues.
The concentration of genomic DNA should be not less than 20 ng/μL, and the total volume should be not less than 20 μL.
It is recommended that you transport the samples at low temperature.
If background peaks or overlapping peaks appear in the sequencing results, the reason is that the sample is impure, and the company will charge the full experimental fee.
Delivery content (standard service): Experimental report (including PCR product photos, species identification reference results, etc.), color sequencing waveform chart, sequence base map
